CWC Board Actions on 2018 Ballot Items

At their September 26 meeting, the Colorado Water Congress Board voted on the organization's stance on the following 2018 ballot action items:
  • Proposition 112, Setback Requirement for Oil and Gas Development: the CWC Board voted to oppose due to the potential loss of severance tax and the negative impact on water project loan funds.
  • Amendment 74, Just Compensation for Reduction in Fair Market Value by Government Law or Regulation: the CWC Board voted to oppose because the language is too broad and because it is a Constitutional Amendment.
  • Amendment Y, Congressional Redistricting: the CWC Board voted to support.
  • Amendment Z, Legislative Redistricting: the CWC Board voted to support.
