Erin Messner is the Sr. Manager of Programs for the Colorado Water Congress (CWC). In her current role, Erin is responsible for the advancement of programs to conserve, develop, administer and protect the water resources of Colorado. She develops technical and educational content for conferences, workshops, and various events. She also assists with advocacy, special projects and strategic initiatives for the CWC team. Prior to joining CWC, Erin was a Program Manager on AWWA's Technical & Research Programs Team, where she focused on Water Resource Sustainability, Water Reuse, Water Conservation, and Infrastructure Financing. Erin also has more than 15 years of experience working in municipal government as a Water Resources Manager and Engineer specializing in water resource planning, water right development, conservation, and capital improvement. She attended Colorado State University and received dual degrees in Engineering Science, focusing on civil engineering water resources, and Liberal Arts, focusing on social sciences. In addition to being a Colorado native, Erin is a third-generation water professional walking in the footsteps of her father and grandfather who dedicated their careers to working on Colorado water issues.
