John Currier

Board Term: 2019 to 2022

​John Currier is a west slope native with family roots in Grand Valley agriculture. He is the Chief Engineer for the Colorado River District where he is responsible for managing the technical activities of the District.  Before joining the River District John spent 25 years in private consulting, helping clients across the Western Slope with their water rights and water supply planning needs.  He has extensive experience in water supply and water rights planning and the operation and management of large water resource projects.  John has a degree in Agricultural Engineering from Colorado State University.  He is a registered professional engineer in Colorado
