 CWC Member Updates

CWC Member Update - June 25

When:  Thursday, June 25 at 12:15 pm
Where: Virtual Meeting - Zoom

On our Member call this week, I will be joined by Water Congress Board President, Chris Piper. The Water Congress Board Retreat is this week and we will report on the results. Key matters to be discussed include the Water Congress Board’s response to the Colorado Waters of the U.S court case.

The Board will begin a multi-phase scenario planning exercise to develop strategy for a wide range of pandemic outcomes/impacts and creatively think about how to adapt to a changing world.  How will we incorporate more flexibility for the Water Congress?  We have talked about scenario planning for quite a while in the context of water supply planning. This will be our first attempt to apply these same concepts to the Water Congress. Things may never be the same.

The Board will consider the 2020 Summer Conference.  We will report how we will engage members on water matters relevant to the Colorado Water community later this Summer.
