CWC Member Update - June 3
When: Wednesday, June 3 at 12:15 pm
Where: Virtual Meeting - Zoom
Our next member call will be Wednesday, June 3 at 12:15 pm. We are now in the second week of the reconvened legislative session. Our State Affairs Committee met 4 times in May to review legislation. CWC lobbyist, Dianna Orf, will be present to bring us up to date on the fast-moving activities. We will learn about the one major water issue that is drawing most of our attention – the proposal for Colorado to establish a dredge and fill water permit program.
We have delayed planning for our Summer Conference hoping for a little more clarity on the social distancing and other restrictions. Not sure we have that yet, but several members have expressed an interest in having some type of event including POND activities and the Water Buffalo Ceremony. The Steamboat Grand will reopen this week with numerous safety protocols and cleaning procedures.
On the call, we will explore a variety of possibilities for what a Summer event might look like.
