John is a farmer and rancher from Prowers County and served the State of Colorado as Commissioner of Agriculture from 2007 to 2011. For thirteen years he served as Prowers County Commissioner and also served on numerous state boards and commissions. As Director for the Interbasin Compact Committee, and Water Advisor to Governor Hickenlooper, John is charged with bringing together a mixture of ideas and pathways for a water plan that will balance Colorado's future water needs.
