Chris Treese

Picture
Colorado River Conservation District
Chris Treese is the Manager of External Affairs for the Colorado River Water Conservation District, more commonly known as the River District. Chris manages a department responsible for the River District’s legislative and regulatory governmental relations in Denver and Washington, D.C., as well as the District’s water education and public information efforts. In short, Chris describes his job responsibilities as everything you don’t want lawyers and engineers doing, including service on numerous Water Congress committees. When not working, Chris pretends his knees can still bike, rock climb, ski, and play ice hockey. Chris has Bachelors and Masters degrees in Economics, which he finds largely irrelevant to his current work.
