Jerry Gibbens

​Jerry is Director of Operations for Northern Water in Berthoud, Colorado, where he oversees the operation and maintenance of the Colorado-Big Thompson Project, Windy Gap Project, and other water storage, conveyance, and hydropower facilities that deliver supplemental water supplies to more than one million people and 615,000 acres of irrigated land in Northeastern Colorado.  He also serves as Treasurer for both the Northern Water and Municipal Subdistrict boards.

Jerry holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from Colorado State University and is a registered professional engineer in Colorado and Wyoming.

Since 2017, Jerry has been a member of the Big Thompson Watershed Coalition Board of Directors and currently serves as its President.

A native of Colorado, Jerry lives in rural Loveland with his wife and enjoys everything the region and surrounding states have to offer, including spending time with his adult children and granddaughter.
