​ ​Amy serves as the Chief of Strategy for the Colorado River District where she oversees the District’s Community Funding Partnership, communications, and strategic initiatives. Initially hired as the Director of Strategic Partnerships, Amy facilitates additional partnerships and policy discussions to support West Slope water users from all sectors. She has been with the District since March 2021.

Amy previously worked at the Colorado Department of Natural Resources (DNR) as the Assistant Director for Water, where she developed and implemented water policy for the State of Colorado, along with supporting Governor Jared Polis as a water policy advisor. Prior to that Amy served as the Department of Natural Resources as a Policy Advisor covering federal lands issues and as a budget analyst. Before joining DNR, Amy worked at the City and County of Denver to develop the city’s first Climate Adaptation Plan.

Amy holds masters’ degrees in public policy and economics from the University of Denver and a bachelor’s degree in communications from the College of Charleston.
