Matthew Shuler is the owner and editor of The Jackson County Star. He is a graduate of the University of Wyoming where he attained a degree in Chemistry and Secondary Education. Known to his friends as Shoeman, he grew up in Walden, Colo., and went to North Park Schools.
Matt enjoys outdoor activities and is active with the North Park Never Summer Rodeo. He is a founding member of the Joint Organizations Leading Transition (JOLT) committee and founding member of the North Park Arts Council. He is an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoys working with wood. He has been married to his wife Michelle Shuler for over thirty years. They have two children and make their home in Walden.
Matt is a director of the Colorado Water Resources and Power Development Authority Board representing the North Platte Basin Roundtable. He is a board member of the Colorado Water Congress representing the Jackson County Water Conservancy. He is active in Club 20 serving as the Club 20 Board chair and as a representative from Jackson County.
